    Diffractive Optical Elements

    Diffractive Optical Elements (DOEs) are computer generated holographic devices that can be used for laser beam shaping and sampling, and are designed to generate laser intensity distributions that cannot be achieved using conventional lenses and mirrors. Egismos Optics Division specialises in the production of highly efficient DOEs for both high and low power laser applications.

    Egismos also offer a unique design service, where custom designed DOEs are produced to generate the optimum intensity distribution for the specific application. Egismos has extensive experience and knowledge in laser materials processing allowing it to offer this exclusive service.

    * Antireflective Coatings:
    Our standard single-layer, anti-reflective coating reduces surface reflection from a nominal 6% per optical surface to less than 2% per surface. Optional broadband multilayer coatings reduce reflection to less than 1% per surface. The lenses can be custom coated with a variety of multilayer techniques and are available uncoated as well.

    ** Optical Performance
    The primary optical specification is the root-mean-squared transmitted wavefront error (RMS WFE). It is measured on a phase shift interferometer at the wavelength of 632.8 nm. The RMS WFE at the design wavelength should be lower than the value of 632.8 nm.
